Job description

I am recruiting for one of the world’s largest Trading and Broking organisations – it's a real opportunity to join a great business, with a great culture.
  
The role is a 12-15 month Fixed Term Contract offering hybrid working from their central London office, paying £90,000 - £100,000 per annum + Great benefits. You need to be on no more than 4 weeks notice
  
This position leads the preparation of monthly management reports, statutory accounts, and supports the year-end consolidation process in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and Group policies. The role also manages the external audit process for Corporate entities and contributes to technical accounting documentation.
  
The role also acts as the consolidation system lead (Hyperion Financial Management), driving process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  
This is a highly collaborative role, requiring strong stakeholder engagement across Group Finance, Treasury, Divisional finance teams and external auditors.
  
Duties:
  
  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts (FRS 101) and other compliance-related submissions for Corporate and Treasury entities.
  • Act as key contact for the year-end audit process, managing the full cycle from planning to sign-off of Group and statutory accounts.
  • Draft technical accounting memos and internal guidance papers to support audit and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of year-end consolidated accounts, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies, IFRS, US GAAP, and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and review consolidated cash flow and debt notes, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and a robust audit trail.
  • Act as the Consolidation System Lead (Hyperion Financial Management), supporting the Financial Systems Manager with change requests and user support.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline reporting processes, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy.
  • Lead or contribute to finance transformation and reporting projects as required.
  • Own the monthly Management Performance Report (MPR) process for Corporate and Treasury entities, including preparation of the ‘Flash’ report.
  • Review and sign off monthly reconciliations prepared by the team for balance sheet, functional reporting, debt, debt transaction costs, and interest calculations.
  
Person Spec:
  
  • ACA / ACCA Qualified with 5 years min PQE
  • Solid experience of Group Consolidations including US GAAP, IFRS & FRS 102 from a large global corporation
  • Experience preparing complex global group consolidations, including intercompany transactions, shareholdings, and loan structures
  • Proven staff Management experience
  • Proficient in financial reporting consolidation systems (Hyperion preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with automation tools is a plus
